We provide maps of the woodland walks on the estate and suggest where to go and what to see nearby, terraced gardens, a walled vegetable garden and organically run orchard. We rent boats, lifejackets and fishing rods and guests may use our telephone, fax or email. We do not supply TV, radio, minibar etc. but invite those seeking refuge from hotels to stay with us and enjoy life in an Irish Big House. 1,200 acres of farm, woodland and lake.
Temple House was refurbished in 1864. One of the double bedrooms is called the "Half Acre" and there are 4 double or twin rooms and a single ensuite. Some beds are half testers or canopied beds. Guests dine together at the large mahogany table and later sit before large log and turf fires. Many of them go to listen to Irish music sessions in nearby pubs after dinner.
